Important Installation Considerations Ensure a secure and stable installation by mounting the bike wall hanger only on a solid stud, beam, masonry, or concrete wall. Do not install the hanger on unsupported wall surfaces, such as plasterboard, unless there is a strong wooden stud behind it.

The hanger is compatible with standard US '2 x 4' (or '2 x 6') wooden studs that are 16 inches (406mm) apart. It is not compatible with studs spaced 12 inches (305mm) or 24 inches (610mm) apart.
